EUROMOVERS member Atlas World Group, Inc – the parent company of Atlas Van Lines, Inc – has announced the appointment of two senior members to its team.
Diane Anderson has been named director of safety. In her new role, Diane will direct the Atlas safety management process and provide overall support and guidance to the regional, area and local transportation operations within the Atlas agent organisations. She will be responsible for developing, coordinating and implementing policies and procedures to promote and ensure the safety and security of the professional van operators of the Atlas Van Lines fleet.
Diane said, “I am excited for this opportunity with Atlas to continue building upon its legacy of safety. I spent the first 10 years of my transportation career on the road with my husband, giving me a unique perspective into this field. I look forward to working closely with the entire Atlas network and applying my expertise to improve existing business practices.”
Also appointed is Amanda Edge who takes up the newly created position of corporate counsel. Prior to joining Atlas, she served as the assistant vice president of legal services for the Kentucky Community and Technical College System.
Amanda will provide legal counsel for Atlas World Group and its subsidiaries in the context of the strategic and tactical objectives of the business, while balancing the need for practical legal and business solutions. She will deal with a wide-ranging portfolio with an emphasis on contracts, litigation management, employment law, and regulatory compliance.
Amanda commented, “I am honoured to have the opportunity to join the Atlas team and serve in this important role. I look forward to leveraging my talents and strengths to better the organisation to the best of my ability.”
