EUROMOVERS member Atlas World Group, Inc has donated $120,000 to Truckers Against Trafficking (TAT). The donation was announced at the 74th Annual Atlas Convention and is the largest contribution made to TAT by Atlas to date.
Truckers Against Trafficking is an organisation that exists to educate, equip, empower, and mobilise members of the trucking, bus, and energy industries to combat human trafficking. TAT’s goals are to provide trucking and related industries with information, partner with law enforcement and government agencies, and facilitate the investigation of human trafficking to combat the crime. Atlas Van Lines became a corporate partner and bronze-level sponsor of TAT in early 2021.
Jack Griffin, Chairman and CEO of Atlas World Group said, “We are thrilled to have raised nearly $120,000 for Truckers Against Trafficking (TAT) at our 74th Atlas World Group Convention. With our Professional Van Operators (PVOs) regularly on the roads across North America, they have the ability to make a real impact, and we are grateful for TAT’s commitment to educate our PVOs so they may become a source of assistance. The Atlas family is humbled at the opportunity to promote and support such an important and timely cause, and we will continue to do our part to combat human trafficking alongside the organisation.”
Laura Cyrus, MA, TAT Director of Corporate Engagement commented, “We are grateful for the Atlas network’s commitment demonstrated at the 2021 Atlas World Group Convention and I look forward to helping the Atlas family of companies spread the word about the excellent opportunity operators have to help change and save lives.”
Atlas World Group, Inc is based in Evansville, Indiana and comprises a number of companies that deliver transportation and related services globally through a network of agents and selected service partners.
